Start Your Own Program
We hope the information will inspire and encourage you to develop a 100 Families program in your community. We invite you to explore the resources provided here. You will find useful program information, profiles of successful project structures, practices and participant experiences, photo and video documentation, in addition to a program development guidebook. These resources were developed through many years of collaboration with creative, diverse, and enthusiastic partners in our region. We encourage you to use this information to create innovative local projects that can foster the kinds of benefits we are experiencing in urban areas of northern California, including the growth of:
-
health and well-being of families and neighborhoods; - communication and understanding across generations;
- platforms for building interest and skills in the arts through active participation;
- opportunities for civic engagement and advancing community voice within the public sphere
- safe and creative gathering places for community dialogue and expression;
- support through collaborative partnerships with government agencies, businesses, grass root and institutional art and community organizations, neighborhoods and families;
- new strategies for creative exchange and interaction
